Register to volunteer for the Fort McMurray 2018 Point in Time Homeless Count, happening on April 11 at 7-11pm.

The PIT Count is a method used to measure sheltered and unsheltered individuals and families to provide a “snapshot” of homelessness in our community on any given night.

Volunteers will walk in pairs through areas of Fort McMurray with a survey to ask individuals they encounter while on their routes. The information gathered from this survey provides the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo with the situations and characteristics of homelessness in our community, which can then be used to help evaluate our programming aimed at ending homelessness.

No experience is necessary to volunteer, and training will be provided.
