The Francophone Community Development Coordinator will work in various aspects of ARDN’s projects, focusing on Francophone community outreach. ARDN does unique work to support rural communities, and has a positive team environment. The Francophone Community Outreach Coordinator will have a unique opportunity to develop their skills in communication (written, verbal, and translation), community outreach, teamwork, taking initiative on individual project work, research, problem solving, and networking.

This position will start January 6, 2020 and end on March 31, 2020, with the possibility of extension.

This research reports on the conceptualization, implementation and implications of a pilot housing project combining the principles of specialized early intervention for psychosis and those of “Housing First,” which holds much promise to address this service gap.

The Indigenous Health, Housing and Homelessness Committee (a collaboration between the Aboriginal Standing Committee on Housing and Homelessness and the Collaborative for Health and Home) is in the process of developing a harm reduction housing model for Indigenous people. In order to accurately understand the most effective and culturally appropriate approaches, a review of the previous 20 years of Indigenous housing work and an environmental scan of Canada were conducted.
